bring the yin

Bring the yin is birthed in response to our production driven world. Disease, stress, and burnout are consequences observed in a society driven to constantly perform. It is not ambition and success that cause disease and stress, it is imbalance that does. We can do more when we fully embody “not doing.” Our body and its systems are constantly seeking to maintain a state of homeostasis and optimally lean a bit more on the side of rest than being active. If we can be intentional about rest, our bodies won’t force us to rest. Services provided by “bring the yin” cultivate rest and resource on a physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual level.

What does yin actually mean?

Yin is more about the underlying resonance than the word. Detaching from cultural or schematic meaning allows the mind to see it as a felt sense. Yin energies restore, nourish, and soothe. The parasympathetic nervous system is in play, which controls the rest and digest functions in our bodies. It is associated with the feminine energy. Masculine energies, or yang energies, are more active. They build, produce, and expand. It can also resonate with the sympathetic nervous system. A place to run, jump, laugh loudly, dance, and be energetic. These are amazing energies! We all need and use both within and outside of ourselves.

Bring the yin services provide a nonjudgmental, unbiased, grounded, present, and unconditionally loving space to those who need to be seen and heard. All of you is welcome. All of you is loved, honored, and respected.
